Why did you decide to join the financial planning industry?
I first dipped my toe in financial planning in January of 2017 as an insurance admin assistant only expecting to be working in the industry for a year at best. A few months in, I was asked to start helping with insurance claims.
Really quickly I realised how much of an impact financial planning firms make and decided to make this a long term career path. Being a part of something that has helped a lot of people has brought me and continues to bring me so much fulfilment.
What is your day to day role at Vista Financial Group?
My role has two priorities: (1) helping the support team succeed in their roles and (2) boost efficiency and productivity for the business. I do the former by providing coaching, feedback and training sessions and the latter by working on business projects.
Where was your last holiday?
For my birthday weekend in September, I went to Manila where I had the chance to watch Hamilton (the musical). Amazing production and would 1000% recommend!
What do you do in your spare time?
I love all things Artsy. I enjoy playing with colours through painting, drawing, and makeup. When I’m not getting my hands dirty (or colourful) I curl up to a good book or watch/listen to plays.
Favourite sports team?
I am the last person to ask about sports! Haha My 8-year-old son Zeek is into all things Jiu-jitsu. My husband and I are quite involved in helping him practice his “game plan” at home. So I guess the Cebu bumblebee Jiu-jitsu team?
What is the weirdest thing you have eaten?
I am quite adventurous when it comes to food so I’ve eaten quite a lot of weird food. I’d have to say the most memorable weird delicacy would be snails. If I had to describe the taste, it’s like eating a butter-flavoured gummy bear.
