Why did you join the financial planning industry?

After having been in the accounting sector for over 15 years I welcomed the transition to financial planning as a way to further my knowledge in an ever-changing environment.  It has allowed me to see scenarios from different perspectives, depending on the priorities of the client.  I have also been given the opportunity to foster relationships and friendships with my clients that I hold dear to this very day.

What is your day-to-day role at Vista Financial Group?

As a financial adviser my role involves helping clients identify what their goals and needs for the future are and helping to design a pathway to get there.  I enjoy the journey along the way with the clients by providing trusted advice and a constant resource for when those bumps occur along the way.  I see my role as being a key relationship for the clients in an ongoing basis to ensure that they are making the best of the resources that they have.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love helping clients demystify the world of Finance.  I enjoy helping them navigate the road ahead, through my personal approach catered to each clients unique circumstances.  I also love getting to know the clients personally and what makes them tick.  I also embrace the regional element to my work and enjoy meeting new people and visiting new places.

Share a quirky or unique habit you have that helps you stay productive at work.

I can’t bear to have more than 25 emails in my Inbox, they must be cleared ASAP to keep the workflow moving and the stress levels down.

When and where was your best vacation?

Recently went to Bali with 2 friends and enjoyed an amazing Girls Trip!  Also loved our family vacation to Fiji many years ago.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love watching the kids playing sport, hanging out with our sausage dog Frank and reading a good book.

If you were a character in a TV show or movie, who would you be, and why?

Fat Amy from Pitch Perfect, as I like a good laugh!

What's your go-to karaoke song?

Cannot hold a tune!

What is the weirdest thing you have eaten?

Steak tartare, not a fan lol
