Why did you decide to become a financial planner?

Gosh that is almost 25years ago now. It was something I fell into. I was working with an Accountant, fresh out of University and felt as though I wanted more interaction with clients, the Accounting work was not resonating with me.  

Bank of Melbourne was advertising for financial advisers at the time, no experience required and they were offering successful candidates a 6 week intensive program, after which the first subject of the Diploma of Financial Planning would be successfully completed. I applied and was accepted and I haven’t looked back since. I love working with people, listening to their stories and helping them to live their best financial lives.

Where was your last holiday?

That was just before Covid hit - September 2019 – I went to Bali for two weeks with my daughter and family. We went to celebrate a milestone birthday of mine and I’m not telling you which one!

What do you do in your spare time?

I love to go for my walks, I walk 5 days a week outdoors – come rain, hail, or shine – well maybe not in the hail. It is a way of releasing any stress built up in the day and the fresh air helps me to clear my mind and reset.

Catching up with family and friends and getting stuck in a good book are also favourite things to do…

Favourite sports team?

I’m not a great sports fan – don’t hold that against me – but I do love to watch the tennis, golf and the olympics – do any of them count?

Snails with a pesto sauce - in Paris – they were so delicious!
