The perspectives shared in this article are from Jason Chew, offering insights and reflections drawn from his experience reading "The One Thing" by Gary Keller.

I love a good book.
Sure, we all juggle squillion-and-one things each day.
But, for me, reading before drifting off to sleep has become a bit of a mainstay over the years.
I’m not far off wrapping up The One Thing by Gary Keller, a successful real estate agent entrepreneur.
Which, like most books I read, came from the recommendation of a friend, also an avid reader.
Its self-professed proposition is this – it explains the success habit to overcome the six lies that block our success, beat the seven thieves that steal time, and leverage the laws of purpose, priority, and productivity.
At first, you look at the cover, read the jacket, and it would be easy to dismiss it as just another fluffy self-help book with excellent marketing appeal.
Don’t judge a book by its cover, though, right?!
I’ve actually found it very much the opposite.
It’s actually quite profound.
And on a number of levels.
The crux?
You can produce extraordinary results working towards your goals if you can really hone and narrow your focus.
Kind of like how small dominos can build enough momentum to topple much larger dominos – if you stack them right.
In fact, I’d argue that this book would resonate with anyone who wakes up each day and feels overwhelmed by their impending daily schedule – and life in general.
What’s resonated with me, in particular?
For me, how Keller breaks down big goals into small chunks is brilliant.
The other big one is this – happiness happens on the way to fulfilling our goals, not the other way around.
I’d highly recommend it to your reading list.
